Why Do We Always Rewatch the Same Things Every Fall?
Maybe it's the cooler air. Maybe it's the way the light starts to change. More golden, more nostalgic. Or maybe it's just that fall is made for comfort: sweaters, soup, and stories we already know by heart.
Every year, when the leaves start to crunch and the candles come out of hiding, we find ourselves reaching for the same movies and shows. The ones that feel like home. The ones we know every line of... and still laugh or tear up at anyway.
These aren’t just rewatchables, they're fall essentials. Here’s what’s always on our cozy-season playlist.
Favorite Series to Rewatch Every Fall
Gilmore Girls

This one’s obvious. Stars Hollow is autumn in TV form. The crunchy leaves, the oversized coffee cups, the small-town drama it's all so perfectly cozy. Whether it’s Rory’s first day at Chilton or Lorelai planning yet another town festival, it’s a warm hug in series form.
Friends

When you want something light, comforting, and endlessly rewatchable, Friends is that. The sweaters, cosy apartments, and inside jokes perfect for background watching on a chilly evening. (Also great for tucking into while half paying attention and half scrolling your phone.)
Stranger Things

Not your classic cozy pick, but the ’80s nostalgia, Halloween vibes, and supernatural mystery make it perfect for spooky season. It’s fun to rewatch with snacks and see who remembers which twist.
Movies That *Feel* Like Fall (and Holiday Too)
Harry Potter (Any of Them)

There’s something about Hogwarts in autumn the candlelit halls, Hogwarts sweaters, Halloween feast that feels made for fall. But here’s the magic trick: the snowy scenes, Yule Ball, and cozy G‑R‑Y‑F‑F‑I‑N‑D‑O‑R sweaters carry it beautifully into December too.
Practical Magic

Sisterhood, small towns, and cinnamon in the air. This 90s gem hits every cozy note. Light a candle, press play, and let time slow down.
Hocus Pocus

Witches, pumpkins, laughs, and nostalgia. Perfect for movie nights while carving pumpkins or baking cookies. You know how one scene will make you say “awww” again.
How to Make Fall (and Holiday) Rewatch Nights Extra Cozy
The movies and shows do the heavy lifting. But the vibe? That comes from the extras.
- Light a candle: Try cozy scents like warm vanilla, amber, or apple. Our Exclusive Candle Collection is designed just for nights like these.
- Diffuse scented oils: Use one of our blends in a ceramic diffuser for scent layering without flame. Check out our Scented Oils.
- Snack mood = must: Popcorn, or a warm apple scone fresh from the oven? That too. It’s the first time I made it and it smelled amazing. I’ll give you the recipe very soon.
- Make it an event: Build a pillow fort, invite a friend, wear your fluffiest socks. (Yes, I am the “slowly arranging pillows so it’s just right” friend.)
Why We Keep Rewatching
Rewatching isn’t laziness. It’s comfort. It’s a familiar echo of feelings that return every fall: cozy, nostalgic, grounded. If you’re pulling up Gilmore Girls for the tenth time, or lighting a candle for your third run through Practical Magic, you’re not stuck, you’re embracing the ritual.
Blanket? Check. Candle? Already lit. Let’s press play.
